Services
I believe that every child and family deserves to be seen with compassion, not judgment. Mental health challenges are often complex, and meaningful progress happens when strengths are recognized alongside areas of struggle.
I also believe that navigating life’s challenges becomes more manageable when families have reliable support, practical guidance, and access to thoughtful, individualized care.
My role is to help children, teens, and families better understand what is happening, clarify the path forward, and develop a treatment plan that supports long-term well-being.
My practice focuses on supporting children, adolesnts, and families navigating behavioral, emotional, and neurodevelopmental challenges. Many of the families I work with are searching for clear guidance, practical support, and a provider who truly understands their child.
Treatment Modalities
I use a collaborative and individualized approach to care. Treatment plans are developed with both the child and family in mind and may incorporate several different tools depending on the needs of the patient.
Psychoeducation
Understanding what is happening in the brain and body can make a significant difference for both children and parents. Psychoeducation helps families better understand diagnoses, behavioral patterns, and emotional responses so they can make informed decisions and respond more effectively to challenges.
Medication Management
When appropriate, psychiatric medication can be a helpful tool for improving focus, stabilizing mood, or reducing anxiety. Medication decisions are made thoughtfully and collaboratively, with careful attention to benefits, risks, and the individual needs of each child or adolescent.
Individual Therapy Support
Therapeutic conversations help children and teens develop insight, emotional awareness, and coping skills. Sessions may focus on emotional regulation, building resilience, and strengthening problem-solving skills.
Family Therapy and Parent Support
Behavioral and emotional challenges often affect the entire family system. Family-focused sessions provide guidance for improving communication, strengthening relationships, and helping parents feel more confident in supporting their child.
Diagnostic Clarification
Sometimes families have received multiple opinions or unclear explanations about their child’s challenges. Diagnostic clarification helps identify the underlying factors contributing to symptoms and creates a clearer treatment plan moving forward.
Communication Planning
Children with behavioral or neurodivergent challenges often struggle to communicate their needs effectively. Communication planning focuses on helping families develop strategies that improve understanding, reduce conflict, and support healthier interactions at home and school.
Leisure and Coping Skills Planning
Healthy coping skills and structured activities can play a major role in emotional regulation. Together, we explore activities, routines, and creative outlets that support mental wellness and resilience.
Supplement Guidance
In some situations, nutritional or supplemental support may be considered as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. These options are discussed carefully and integrated alongside other evidence-based treatments when appropriate.
